The Last Porno Show, written and directed by Kire Paputts, is a dark drama that stars Nathanael Chadwick as Wayne, a young aspiring actor, who unexpectedly inherits an adult movie theatre in the Toronto neighborhood of Leslieville after his father’s death forcing him to reconcile his traumatic childhood.
The Last Porno Show screened at the Toronto International Film Festival.
While Kire’s film is a thoughtful and moving exploration of childhood trauma the film’s explicit content has been an obstacle in finding distribution. You can read about Kire’s struggles here and a review from TIFF here.
